“I hope everyone can value all the emotional responses that are triggered and enjoy the feedback they bring.”

Yu-Ling Chang

Born in 1997 in Taipei, grew up in Longtan, most familiar with Hualien. Currently living and working in Taipei, Taiwan.

The creative concept of her work originates from daily experiences. Leveraging her sensitive traits as a highly sensitive person (HSP) and an introvert, she focuses on emotions and uses natural objects as mediums. She attempts to organize the intangible emotional energy and discoveries, shaping them into visible forms.

Her creative process involves the flowing and forceful techniques of charcoal, oil painting, and acrylic. Through the dance between the canvas and her body, she aims to become aware, respond, and feel the projections of the space onto her and onto the painting.

Her works have received various awards, including third place in the Western Painting category of the Hui Lan Art Exhibition (2020) and the Collection Award in the Young Artist Collection Competition at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (2019). She has participated in exhibitions such as the Taipei International Art Fair (2019), Kaohsiung Art Fair (2019), and Japan’s Obi Denken Week (2023). In 2021, she served as an artist-in-residence at the Zhongmiao Rural Sensory Art Season.
