Emily Liu was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan, and has spent many years studying and working overseas. She currently lives in Miaoli, Taiwan, where she devotes herself to art creation every day without interruption.

Liu’s works have a strong personal style and high originality. Her early works mainly focus on nature, such as flowers and landscape subjects. While her later works incorporate her experiences of living abroad, travel, and her own reflections and feelings about life. Through the abstract artistic elements of color, line, image, and space, she transforms, deconstructs, and recombines, layering imagery to express her emotions and thoughts, becoming one of her most representative styles.

“Art is life.” Emily deeply believes in this statement. She hopes that viewers can believe in their personal intuition and use their hearts to feel the impact of art. Through emotional experience, they can receive the message conveyed by her. In the end, the indiscernible meaning will transform into a shared understanding of life, expressed through a simple nod while viewing the art.
